The Interview of Ada Aharoni in the Vietnamese Women's Journal, for INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY, is a real gem of universal value. Few times we have the opportunity to find the true significance of a day dedicated women, as it results from this Interview. Bravo Ada!!!

Dear Professor Aharoni:

I was recently directed to the IFLAC web site and enjoyed learning about
your life and the work of IFLAC. It was a pleasure to see an organization
that strives for some of the goals as Global Heroes, an online magazine that
I started with the goal of highlighting the positive in our world. I could
particularly relate to IFLAC when I read about the lack of media presence
for positive non-violent events in the region, such as the Peace March.
Global Heroes is a media service that strives to do exactly what is not done
by our mainstream news media by showing the positive in our world. I would welcome any of your suggestions about ways in which we could work
together to achieve common goals. For starters, I have inserted the IFLAC
URL on the Global Heroes web site under our links section. I am also
considering doing a story about "Organizations Making a Difference" and
using IFLAC for this section.

Thank you in advance for taking the time to review Global Heroes. I look
forward to hearing from you soon.

Sincerely,

Kevin Anselmo

Dear Ada, Thank you for your reprint of Uprooting of Jews from Arab Lands, 1948 - 1976.

Part of the Peace Process in the Middle East should address the double standard applied to Palestinian demands for reparations and return as against much greater Jewish losses.

Thank you, also, for reprinting the words and website for John Lennon's IMAGINE. In the rush to condemn there appear to be few words from those who fill us with horror stories of militarism and its aftermath, for positive messages of hope and inspiration, as IFLAC and others have tried to do. But our voices are often drowned out by those who view only one side of the many conflicts that
provide grist for the media clamoring for space on airways and the Internet. "We shall overcome" provided a positive vision of the
future for many of us in the US during the 1960s. We still have far to go... Yet we are moving forward. We shall overcome! MARTHA

Professor Ada Aharoni is the first Israeli national, who was interviewed by me for my newspaper, Weekly Blitz back in 2003. Since then, we have highest admiration for her.
I will request esteemed members of IFLAC and those friends of this organization around the world to kindly read Weekly Blitz every week. This is the only anti-Jihadist newspaper in the Muslim world.
You are also invited to subscribe to our mailing list [which is absolutely free].
Last October, my latest book INSIDE MADRASSA has been published. This book is the result of my several years research and investigation on madrassas around the world.

Dear Ada,

What a treat it was to stumble onto your site thru the wonderful world wide web - and also learn of your organizatoin and the shining poetry of the Middle East!

Thank you for connecting and allowing me to use your work. Together we can inspire through language a world done with war, where compassion, communication and clarity build bridges of understanding within communities everywhere.

I leave you with a poem submitted to my Project by a young student named Justin Ruder who takes to task the assignment of imagining a new kind of world Valentine's Day:

Cupid is here living with love

He reminds us of people who live up above

You start a seed then grow so big

The parents that raised you as a kid

The past is gone, things you must live without

At times you thought your life was a doubt

Spread the care and feel for others

Treat everyone as your brothers

Through dust and rain you ride the train

Away, away, away, peace is everywhere.

Thank you*

To Dear Ada and the Members of IFLAC,

My name is Alvin Aronson, and I am the Boston Chairman of IFLAC. I am now in Israel and am witnessing first hand the marvelous work
Ada Aharoni is doing to help bring peace between the Israelis and her neighbours, including the Palistinians.

Her work is not primarily political but cultural. Ada publishes many beautiful things about peace written both by Israelis and
writers from all over the world, in the daily IFLAC digest, which she edits daily. . Ada and IFLAC are primarily interested in
promoting peace in the world. If you enjoy your subscription and enjoy receiving the digest every day, please be kind enough to send in your yearly contribution of $100 or more to Ada. Make your checks out to Ada Aharoni-IFLAC, and send them to her at:
18 A Amos St., Apt. 77
Nesher 36700, ISRAEL.

God bless all of you, have a wonderful New Year, and remember that if you want to see peace in Israel, and in the world, you have to help it happen with your own help.

As Rabbi Hillel once said, "If I am for myself alone, who am I,. If not now, so, when?"
Have a wonderful New Year of peace and health and joy.

Dear Ada,

I hope this finds you well.
Sorry for not writing to you for a long time.
I have so busy with my translations. I have had my translation of Slumdog
Millionair published here and now it is on the top of Vietnam bestseller
list.
Sorry for not sending the article to you. You know, it was written in
Vietnamese and published in Dat Viet Journal. The editor from the journal
told me that one copy of that article was sent to me by post but I haven't
received it yet. I will ask someone to check it.
It is glad to tell you that the Vietnamese translation of From the Nile to
the Jordan is loved by a lot of readers here. Most of 1500 copies of it were
sold by the end of last year. As it happens, I found it on the best book
lists of the year on some blogs. I am so happy.
Thank you for giving the chance to be the translator of your noble book.

I wish you all the best wishes, my smiling Ada.

Dear Ada
After so many years I still remember you when I lived in Haifa in 1976-1980. I met the late and wonderful Ruth Lys and she told me about 'The Bridge'. I came along to a few meetings (and even have a photo of some of us). I was also a visitor in your home. Life takes us down so many unplanned paths. I'm so happy to have found your 'page' and have read now what I didn't understand then. Thank you for reading this.

Dear Ada, I have been reading on your website today, and I,m happy to see
all this positive movements you do for the human race. War is terrible, and
It is a great danger that to many people all around the world are
watching violence in the media nearly everyday. The youngest especially, are
not prepared, and the violence scenes will sink in to their mind as a
natural thing and form them. Even the media knows this very well,
they continue, for the control of people and the money they get. A kind og
brainwashing of the youngest kids. Horrible.

No i,m really happy to see that some people do what they can for peace and
higher consciousness on this earth, and that I came in contact witht you and
your website, throught Michael Holmboe. I think when people get higher
international and universal consciousness, peace and love will come as a
natural thing in their mind. And things are acceleration real fast these
days, I think much of this, we can thank the people that spend years and
years for this cases like yourself. I will be happy to work with your
poems, I,will do my best.

Best wishes from Lise J. Gregersen

Dear Ada,

Dear IFLAC,

May every day be the renewal birth of our soul for peace and nothing else.

In 10 years, I'm sure, IFLAC, you went through hard moments in seeking persistently for peace that is maybe the hardest task ever in general, in the volcanic Middle East in particular. In a mad and sick world that is of today, living Peace and peace-of-mind --that is our natural blessed right-- unfortunately requires a culture of peace.
And we said we are ready...we are proudly ready to spread it...to show the hunger what vibrates in our mind and soul for Peace.

Challenges are hard before Peace. But Peace is blessed! Let's all keep faith in our inner choice...to stand tall with it...to keep going!

Happy birthday IFLAC!

With my love from Lebanon!

Norma
